Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
Brayford Physiotherapy (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we handle it, and how you can reach us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). As a health service provider we are covered by the Privacy Act regardless of our turnover.
1What this website collects
This website does not require you to create an account, and it does not track you. The enquiry form collects the details you type into it: your name, phone number, email address, your reason for visiting, your funding path, and your message. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking on this site. We do not set cookies, and we do not store anything in your browser.
Some of what you tell us is health information, which the Privacy Act treats as sensitive information. We collect it only with your consent and only so we can book you with the right practitioner. Please keep the message field brief. Do not send detailed clinical history, scans or reports through this form.
This is a demonstration website. The enquiry form validates your entries in your browser and shows a confirmation, but it does not transmit or store anything.
2How we collect it
Only when you submit the enquiry form, call us, or email us. We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect information about you from third parties.
3Why we collect it
To arrange your appointment, to book you with the right practitioner, and to keep the clinical record required of us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for marketing.
4Who we share it with
With your consent, we share relevant health information with your referring GP or specialist. We may disclose information to your health fund, Medicare, the NDIS or an insurer where you have asked us to claim on your behalf. We do not disclose your health information for any other purpose without your consent unless the law requires or permits it.
5How long we keep it
We keep health records for seven years after your last appointment. Where the patient was under 18, we keep the record until they turn 25.
South Australia does not set a statutory retention period for private health records, so we apply the seven-year standard used in New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory as our practice policy.
6Overseas disclosure
This website is hosted on infrastructure operated by Lovable Labs Incorporated (United States) and served from a globally distributed network, so the servers handling your request may be located outside Australia. This site loads no third-party content and makes no other overseas disclosure. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7Keeping it secure
The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure.
8Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, including your health record, and ask us to correct it. Email or call us using the details in the footer and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first and we will look into it and come back to you in writing. If you are still not satisfied, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
9Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
