Clinical exercise and Pilates, four people at a time

Not a fitness class. Each person in the room is working through their own programme, written after an individual assessment, with a physiotherapist watching how you do it and changing it as you improve.

Weekly timetable

  • Clothing you can move in — leggings or shorts and a t-shirt.
  • Socks with grip, or bare feet. No shoes on the mats.
  • A water bottle; we have a filtered tap at reception.
  • Your health fund card if you are claiming on the spot.
  • Any brace, orthotic or walking stick you normally use.
  • Nothing else — mats, bands, balls and equipment are here.

Arrive five minutes early for your first class so we can go over your programme before the others come in.

Indicative timetable for this demonstration site. Classes run in blocks during school terms, and places are held by term rather than week to week.

How it starts

Everyone begins with a 45 minute individual assessment, whether or not you have been to us before. We look at the movements that matter for you, write the programme, and take you through it once before you join a group.

From there, most people come once or twice a week for a term. Programmes are reviewed every six classes, or sooner if something changes. If you are already having treatment for an injury, the class work is built to sit alongside it rather than duplicate it.

Classes suit people whose pain has settled and whose job is now rebuilding strength and confidence: backs, hips and knees, recovery after an operation, and older adults working on balance and staying on their feet.

Fees

Initial individual assessment, 45 min
$95
Single class
$40
Ten class block
$360
Programme review, 30 min
$85

Fees include GST where applicable. Many extras policies cover physiotherapist-led group exercise — check your own policy, and we can claim on the spot at reception.

No referral needed

You can book the initial assessment yourself. A referral only matters if you are claiming through a Medicare plan, DVA, a work injury or a motor accident claim — those pathways are set out here.

The studio with three mats laid out on a timber floor, equipment along the wall and daylight through a curtained window.

The studio

A separate room at the back of the practice, with mats, equipment, bands and weights. Four people, one physiotherapist, and enough space that nobody is working in someone else's way.
